National company headquartered in Atlanta is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to join their team. Great workplace with very low turnover. Excellent opportunity to join a great organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of the SEC filings and all supporting documentation in collaboration with key corporate staff members.
- Partner with senior management to assist on other corporate accounting functions on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Perform accounting duties related to month end close.
- Develop strong working relationships with external partners including external audit,, legal and others.
- Champion best accounting practices and policies. Develop and implement efficient practices.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to support budgets and forecast. Research accounting and financial reporting issues.
- Participate in Audit Committee meetings. Provide assistance and respond to all audit inquiries..
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting.
- Active CPA required
- Big Four experience is a plus
- Previous SEC experience at a publically traded company
- ERP or other system implementation experience is a plus
- 10+ years progressive experience
