Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain best accounting policies for the organization.
- Remain abreast of emerging accounting and financial reporting developments. Ensure upper management is aware of potential changes associated with new developments.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within the company to identify and plan for any impacts of new business transactions and business initiatives.
- Utilize expertise to prepare training materials. Conduct policy training sessions to ensure all staff are in compliance with company expectations.
- Support VP of Tax in documentation of the tax implications for certain non-routine transactions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- CPA required
- 5+ years of GAAP Accounting and Accounting Policy experience
- Proficiency in IFRS and insurance statutory accounting required
