Controller; $100-130k

Description:

Growing commercial construction company is a seeking a Controller who wants to be a part of a leadership team working to advance the company to the next level. The company offers a high energy, positive, professional environment that values individual’s contributions and celebrates team successes.  This individual must have previous commercial construction company accounting experience with projects of extended duration.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations
• Prepare financial statements weekly cash flow forecast
• Create accurate and informative key performance metrics on a timely basis
• Establish financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
• Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls
• Direct billing collections and lien management
• Administer payroll, benefits and payroll taxes
• Process monthly state and local gross receipts and sales tax reports and payments
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Mentor and direct a staff of 2

Qualified Candidates should possess:

• A minimum of 2+ years of Commercial Construction Accounting Experience is required
• Experience in AIA billing
• Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting
• Familiarity with Work in Progress or Project Based accounting
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills and Acumen
• Ability to deploy Accounting as an asset to customer development and retention
• Ability to view and deploy Accounting department as a willing support function to Project Management and the Client
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
• CPA is a plus
